Right out the gate, our buddy Sal Cirrincione calls in to give us a ROCK REPORT and shares his own flashback story about the band Rainbow. He then talks about David Lee Roth’s trip to crazy town, Billy Joe from Green Day, Eric Clapton, Neal Schon and some tour info from Tom Petty!
Oops! We wrote in last Friday’s write up about Donny’s Mom’s celebrity sighting of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn… but it’s actually in today’s show. As well as Kurt and Brian’s exchange manly texts. Kurt wins.
Most ridiculous ways athletes spend money? Gold teeth, lots of champagne and white tiger triplets. Whatever floats their rich-ass boats. Brian asks us if we have favorites among our kids and Jill has an interesting theory on how to handle this.
Then Jill turns the tables on Brian with this edition of “Does Brian Know It?” Mostly musicals…. so you can probably guess the answer. He does get a few though… how did you do?

Only got 6 points on Jill’s game. Sad thing is I went to see Les Misrebles 2 days ago and still didn’t get a point for the song Jill played from it.
I think Sal was thinking of the song Man on the Silver Mountain by Rainbow.
Usually love the show and starting off with Rainbow was great. Gave me great expectations, but was a bit let down. Being the “rock snob” had a hard time listenging to Jill’s songs!
But will deffiently keep listening!
Brian, I felt bad for that first caller Ted when before the game started you said, “5 correct answers, which isn’t going to happen I can tell already”. I guess he didn’t sound enthusiastic but geeze, poor guy, I would have hung up if I was him!
Rainbow is awesome but I prefer the first three albums with Dio (the greatest rock singer ever), one of which (Rising) is pictured above.
Can I make a request? (I don’t know can you? yuck yuck yuck!) k sorry. Would you please open the show one of these days with Marrakesh Express by CSNY? If not, no biggie. Great shows as always. Soooo Brian, over all the years that you played ‘for no apparent reason’ with Mark and now with Jill, has anyone ever gotten 5 questions out of 5 right?
What happened to the mics? The last 15 – 20 mins was unlistenable.
We had a problem with the primary recorder and the back up was all we had, the results were not so good as you have noticed. Sorry for the Audio issues, hopefully all good moving forward.
