WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS?

We are the Champions? What a game yesterday, right?! Queen’s classic song rocks us in to this post Superbowl show today and we are so happy that our favorite team … won? If you tuned into Friday’s show, you’ll know that on we attempted to have a scientific prediction of who would win the Super Bowl by having Chance the puppy play Dingo Bingo. Well, we waited for him to deliver… but because time was running out, we had to get a bit creative. Thank god Kelly has some spare fake poop lying around.

Just so you know, there’s still time to get the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. Just check out our new sponsors Proflowers and Shari’s Berries, because who doesn’t love flowers and chocolate covered fruit?

We start off the show with a listener question for Jill, who reveals what happened to her Love Boat mother. Spoiler alert everybody! Jill then tells us about how some of the most iconic songs ever made are actually despised by the musicians who made them famous. What song makes Robert Plant feel like he is “breaking out in hives”? And which song that was written on the back of a pizza box as a f*ck you to music execs ending up being the only song this band was known by?

Our long lost buddy Sal Cirrincione is back from his long vacation with his Rock Report! Not only did vacation with the wife, but he got to “work” on a Rock & Roll cruise ship for a week. He tells us might be a perfect destination for another on location podcast recording… so we’ll be looking into that! Sal goes into the details about Eric Clapton’s new album, the Kiss band’s 40th anniversary, and why Jon Bon Jovi won’t be on American Idol anytime soon.

Speed round of What’s News? Drunk drivers in New Jersey can’t have vanity plates, more sex when the weather outside is frightful. Then, Mark from Riverside calls in to talk about the awesome ice cream destination location Farrells, specifically the Zoo and the Pig’s Trough! Then it’s a trip down memory lane for the crew as they tell their stories about Farrell’s and decide that yet ANOTHER location podcast recording needs to happen!

If you’ve been keeping up to date on the show, you will know that on Friday’s show we attempted to have a scientific prediction of who would win the Super Bowl by having Chance the puppy play Dingo Bingo. Well, we waited for him to deliver… but because time was running out, we had to get a bit creative. Thank god Kelly has some spare fake poop lying around.

We play a round of No Apparent Reason with Ted from Palm Springs, CA and Ryan from Corona, CA.

There used to be several Farrells in the Portland area 30 yrs ago. Thanks for the memories.
Brian and Jill should go on a cruse with Sal, you would get a lot of interviews and tape for the pod casts.
You need to get Prop. Fraknoid on again soon, with the close fly by of an asterorid and a comet later this year.

Thanks so much for the Farrell’s memories! My husband and I still talk about how we wish Farrell’s were still around! We both loved the candy store they had at the back with all the colorful candy — and the rock candy on sticks — and dots on paper! There used to be one in Torrance, CA on Hawthorne Blvd…anyone who’s ever been would remember all the fun of going to birthday parties at Farrell’s.

Thanks again for all the memories…made me smile today.

    XOXOX

Farrell’s has locations in MIssion Vieijo Mall (near the food court, backside, near Nordstroms) and in Brea, downtown strip. :)

DO NOT underestimate science just because you don’t like the results. You conducted a scientific experiment and it’s validity was proven. GO RAVENS!
